Clarity

Privacy.

The short version: your reflections stay yours. We don't track you across the internet. We don't sell your data. We don't show ads. You can export everything any time, and you can delete everything for good.

What we store

  • Your email and (if provided) name.
  • Your decisions — Pulse and Deep — including any context, alternatives, voice notes, and Clara's reflections.
  • Your reviews of past decisions.
  • Your streak count, sphere XP, archetype snapshots, and pattern cards.
  • Subscription state if you upgrade to Premium (handled by Stripe; we store an ID).

How we use it

Only to make Clarity work for you:

  • To show your decisions, journal, and insights when you sign in.
  • To compute your archetype, sphere levels, and pattern cards — all from your own data.
  • To send Clara's reflections via the Anthropic API. The decision text is sent to Anthropic for the duration of the request and is not used by us for any other purpose.
  • To transcribe voice notes via a self-hosted Whisper service running on our own server. Voice audio is not sent to any third party.

What we don't do

  • We don't run Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, Mixpanel, or any third-party trackers.
  • We don't sell or share your data with advertisers, ever.
  • We don't share your decisions with anyone — not even publicly aggregated statistics.
  • We don't use your reflections to train AI models.

Third parties we depend on

  • Anthropic — to generate Clara's reflections. Their API processes the decision text per request. Anthropic privacy policy.
  • Stripe — payment processing for Premium. We never store card details. Stripe privacy policy.
  • Google Workspace (SMTP) — transactional email: sign-in links (we use passwordless authentication), review reminders, and cohort check-ins. Google's mail servers transport the message; the recipient and body are visible to Google as part of standard SMTP delivery.
  • Cloudflare — DNS and DDoS protection at the network edge.

Your rights

  • Export — download every byte we hold for you, as JSON, from Settings → Your data.
  • Delete — permanently remove your account and all associated data, from Settings → Delete account.
  • Correct — edit your name and email at any time.

Where data lives

Clarity runs on a server we operate ourselves. Backups are encrypted at rest and stored off-site with a single backup provider. We do not transfer data outside the regions necessary to deliver the service.
